BAY AREA DOG TRAILS

A guide for dog-friendly hiking.

Hey all!

I don’t know about you, but my Charlie (over there) is always giving me his big puppy dog eyes whenever he wants to go out. Or maybe those are his grumpy eyes? Either way, this all coming from a dog whose mom is a dog pro. Aka we’re ALWAYS out and about! I guess he’s accustomed to the active life, and I must acquiesce.

As a result, he and I have explored some really cool places in the Bay Area, and I’d like to share them with you! You’ll learn about one new location to explore per month, and if you’re wanting more, I’m happy to recommend others!

Charlie’s an athlete who loves to run and swim, so we always search for places that are dog-friendly (obvi), off-leash preferably, and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Nature’s therapy!

Most locations are within a 20-mile radius of Oakland, so they’re very accessible by car, and I’m sure we’ll branch out even further as we go.
